Astrartigos, one of the five villages on the Rodopos peninsula, about thirty k.m. west of Chania, is a colorful jigsaw puzzle of history, proud people mountains and seashores.
It is a place that travelers can meet the fertile land, the picturesque near beaches (Afrata, Kolymbari, Ravdouha, Nopigia), the large number of traces of Minoan certiments have been found in several places, important churches, and monasteries as well as the archeological sites of area near Kolymbari.
